Broker Digital Technology Top of Mind at IBABC Conference

|

CSIO was pleased to take part in the Brokerage Technology Panel Discussion at this year’s Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia (IBABC) 2018 conference. Ahmer Gulzar, Senior Manager, Technology Strategy & Architecture, shared CSIO’s insight on technology trends and digital technologies. He also gave advice for brokerages on new and existing technologies and resources they can use as part of their membership.

Ahmer was joined by moderator Andrew Janzen, President of Janzen Insurance, and fellow panelists Laurie Talbot, Owner of Talbot Insurance, and Kim Opheim, Broker Technology and Innovation Consultant at the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC).

The audience of BC brokers was highly engaged. They asked a variety of questions of the panelists on existing technologies such as eSignatures and emerging initiatives. These include strategic priorities such as commercial lines data standards, real-time transactions, and of course, the My Proof of Insurance eDelivery solution – sending digital policy documents and proof of auto insurance (eSlips) to customers in place of paper.

The trade show was just as lively as the panel, with brokers from across BC keen to learn more about how technology can support them in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Thank you to IBABC for hosting a wonderful event – we look forward to attending again in 2019!
