THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERN YOUR ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES AVAILABLE ON THE SITE.

The Site is made available by CSIO for the purpose of providing information about CSIO and CSIO Standards, Services, and Resources.

Any copies of file content made available by CSIO on the Site (CSIO Content) and all other copyrighted and copyrightable materials on the Site, including without limitation, the design, text, graphics, pictures and the selection and arrangement (“CSIO Materials”) thereof are owned solely and exclusively by CSIO and/or its third party licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable and non-sub-licensable licence to access the Site for the purpose of receiving CSIO Standards, Services and Resources.
The foregoing license grant does not include the right for you to:
(a) publish, publicly perform or display, or communicate to the public or otherwise disclose or distribute to any third party any of the CSIO Materials or any CSIO Content, Standards, Services and Resources;
(b) use CSIO Standards, Services and Resources for any purpose other than for the sole purpose of supporting the property and casualty insurance broker distribution channel;
(c) systematically collect from the Site and use any data or content including the use of any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction methods;
(d) make derivative uses of the Site or the CSIO Materials or CSIO Content;
(e) reformat or reconfigure or otherwise reverse engineer any CSIO Content for use on any devices other than Devices; or
(f) use, frame, or utilize framing techniques to enclose any portion of the Site.
Except for the limited licence expressly granted to you, these Terms and Conditions do not grant you any other right or licence, whether express or implied, by estoppels, or otherwise in or under any patent, trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property or proprietary right of CSIO or any third party.
Notice to Member – By downloading this file the Member is granted limited rights to use but not modify the ACORD Intellectual Property, as contained within the CSIO Standard in this file, only for its own internal purposes and not for those of a third party for so long as such use is necessary or desirable by such Member subject to ACORD’s copyright interests therein. All other rights to and use of the ACORD copyrighted material included in such CSIO Standard, not otherwise granted to CSIO and its Members, are retained absolutely by ACORD.
Registration Data, Accounts and Passwords
You agree to be responsible for: (a) maintaining the confidentiality of any passwords or other account identifiers which you choose or that are assigned to you as a result of any registration with the CSIO Standards, Services Resources, and (b) all activities that occur under such password or account. Further, you agree to immediately notify CSIO of any unauthorized use of your password or account or in the event that the confidentiality of your password is compromised. CSIO shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, in any way for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of, or in connection with, your failure to comply with this Section.
No License; Intellectual Property of CSIO and Others
Except as expressly provided, nothing herein or within any of the CSIO Services shall be construed as conferring any licence under any of CSIO’s or any third party’s intellectual property rights, whether by estoppels, implication, waiver, or otherwise. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you acknowledge and agree that certain content available through and used to operate the CSIO Services is protected by copyright, trade-mark, patent, or other intellectual property or proprietary rights of CSIO, its affiliates, licensors, and/or service providers. You agree not to adapt, translate, modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any software, applications or programs used in connection with the CSIO Services nor use any of the forgoing for any purpose other than the purpose for which such intellectual property is made available to users through the CSIO Services.
All product, brand and company names and logos and trade-marks displayed on the Site or used in connection with the CSIO Service are the trade-marks of CSIO (or its suppliers or third party licensors). Any use of any of the marks appearing on the Site or in connection with the CSIO Services without the express written consent of CSIO or the owner of the mark, as appropriate, is strictly prohibited.
No Framing, etc.
Any copying, republication or redistribution of any part of the Site, including by caching, framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without the prior written consent of CSIO.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
You shall indemnify and forever save harmless CSIO, its partners, affiliates, and suppliers and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, consultants, agents and suppliers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, losses, costs, charges, expenses, damages and liabilities (including legal fees) which may be incurred by reason of or in connection with your use of this site.
Access and use of this website are subject to all laws and regulations in your province or territory of residence. CSIO makes no representation that materials in the site are appropriate or available for use outside Canada, or in other locations where access to or use of the site or any part thereof is illegal or is prohibited.
You acknowledge and agree that CSIO, in its sole and absolute discretion, may, without notice to you, suspend or terminate your account or your use of, or access to, the Site and/or any of the CSIO Services, and remove and discard any information or content related to you (and your use thereof), for any reason, including where CSIO believes that you have violated any of the Terms and Conditions. You further agree that CSIO shall not be liable to you or to any other person as a result of any such suspension or termination. If you are dissatisfied with any of the CSIO Services or with any terms, conditions, rules, policies, guidelines, or practices of CSIO in operating the Site or the CSIO Services, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using the Site and the CSIO Services. You confirm that you are a member of CSIO or have otherwise been granted access to CSIO Standards, Services and Resources by CSIO. You further confirm your understanding that membership renewal upon expiry will be required to receive continued access to the Site and use of any CSIO materials or CSIO content.
Fair and Reasonable
The terms and conditions of these Terms and Conditions that limit liability reflect an informed voluntary allocation of risk. This allocation represents a material part of these Terms and Conditions. Each party agrees that the limitations of liabilities set out in these Terms and Conditions are fair and reasonable in the circumstances. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will deprive you of the benefits of any applicable consumer protection laws, except to the extent lawfully waived by the terms hereof.
