CSIO Appoints John Elliott of RSA Canada to Board of Directors

(Toronto – January 24, 2017) Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) Chairman Steve Whitelaw, VP, Strategic Planning and Execution at Travelers Canada, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new member to the CSIO Board of Directors.

John Elliott, Senior VP IT and Chief Information Officer at RSA Canada, has more than 20 years of experience overseeing large international technology teams within the financial services and insurance sectors. John has held executive leadership positions at prominent organizations in the insurance industry, including Aon and Allianz. John holds three Masters degrees: a Master of Science in Engineering (Computer Architecture) from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Mathematics from MIT and a Master in Computer Science from New York University Polytechnic.

“With John’s deep expertise in IT strategy and execution, I’m certain that he’ll add a lot of value and be a strong contributor as a director,” says Whitelaw. “I welcome John to the CSIO Board and look forward to working with him to drive further efficiencies in the broker distribution channel.”

RSA Canada, one of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurance companies, maintains its support for the development and implementation of industry standards designed to improve the competitiveness of the broker distribution channel.
