(Toronto – March 12, 2018) The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is pleased to announce Susan Crawford, acclaimed professor at the Harvard School of Law and former Special Assistant for Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy to President Obama, as keynote speaker at its 2018 members’ meeting and reception on April 17 at the National Club in Toronto.

Her Cities, Data and Privacy in the Age of the Connected Consumer address will provide valuable insight into cutting-edge innovations in data, connectivity and technology in both the public and private realms, as well as the implications for and opportunities available to the insurance industry.
“I am delighted to announce Susan Crawford as the keynote speaker at our 2018 members’ meeting and reception,” says Catherine Smola, President and CEO of CSIO. “Her expertise in technology and privacy is especially relevant to the insurance industry, as the opportunities of big data must be balanced against customer expectations for privacy.
