Unica Insurance Expands CSIO eDocs to Include Insured Copy for All Lines of Business
|
(Toronto – October 22, 2018) The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is pleased to announce that Unica Insurance is now using CSIO eDocs to send both the insured and broker copies of policy documents directly to their partners’ broker management system (BMS).
Last year, almost 80% of brokers across Canada used eDocs to streamline their workflow, reduce costs and provide superior customer service to their clients. Brokers can see a full list of document types sent as eDocs by carrier on CSIO’s eDocs availability chart.
“Brokers value having the insured copy at their fingertips, so we are very pleased to make it available to them via the CSIO eDocs standard,” says Dave Smiley, Chief Operating Officer at Unica Insurance. “It gives our brokers the ability to provide even higher levels of service by sending clients a digital copy of their policy without delay. What’s more, it is a flexible offering, so each brokerage can choose to receive either the broker copy, the customer copy, or both, depending on their needs.”
“Times are changing for our industry, paper is no longer the preferred choice of consumers,” says Catherine Smola, President and CEO of CSIO. “eDocs are foundational to improving the ease of doing business in the broker channel. As more insurers such as Unica see the value in adopting eDocs, the industry as a whole saves money, works more efficiently and provides a better experience for customers.”
Unica offers innovative niche Commercial and VIP Personal insurance solutions to protect consumers’ homes, vehicles and businesses.
