This is an electronic (or “mobile”) version of a wallet on a smartphone. It can securely store credit and debit cards, loyalty cards, event tickets and boarding passes.

When you use My Proof of Insurance, this wallet also stores the customer’s auto insurance eSlip.

Apple and Android smartphones have these wallets.

Yes, My Proof of Insurance uses the Microsoft Azure cloud and follows best practices for securing customer information:

  • It’s on Canadian servers.
  • It follows all Canadian privacy, e-commerce and anti-spam legislation.
  • Emails will only deliver to addresses that use Transport Layer Security (TLS). Most email domains, including web-based services like Gmail, are TLS-encrypted.

My Proof of Insurance eSlips meets all regulatory requirements and are approved in:

  • Alberta

  • Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Northwest Territories
  • Nova Scotia
  • Ontario
  • Price Edward Island
  • Quebec
  • Yukon

eSlips are not applicable in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. 

Customers will:

1.    Receive digital policy documents via an email sent from “My Proof of Insurance”.

2.    Save documents to the device of their choice.

3.    Add eSlips to their smartphone’s mobile digital wallet.
