CSIO Announces Cam Loeppky as Chairman of its Board of Directors

|

(Toronto – November 28, 2019) – The CSIO Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Cam Loeppky has been appointed Chairman of the Board. Cam is Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Wawanesa Insurance. He first joined CSIO as a director in 2014, serving a two-year term and then rejoined the Board in November 2018.

Cam has been with Wawanesa since 2006, and has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. A strategic and innovative leader, Cam is seasoned in implementing successful IT transformations and initiatives that have significantly enhanced the business operations of diverse organizations. His successes at Wawanesa include modernizing core legacy systems and processes, and developing an innovative digital foundation to create a best-in-class customer experience for broker partners.

“Increased digital integration will improve the insurance customer and broker experience, with a faster and more reliable transaction for everyone involved,” says Loeppky. “I am honoured to have the opportunity to chair the Board of Directors as CSIO develops new ways to exceed consumer and broker expectations today, tomorrow and into the future.”

The CSIO Board of Directors would like to thank Sean Christie for his significant contributions on the Board from 2013 to 2019. Christie’s leadership was crucial to the successful development of the My Proof of Insurance eDelivery solution launched in February 2018. With his support, an industry project team was formed consisting of many CSIO members that worked collaboratively to develop a uniform, standardized digital experience for consumers.

“Sean’s time on the Board contributed to numerous successes for CSIO and the broker channel,” says Sheldon Wasylenko, CSIO Vice Chairman and General Manager, Rayner Agencies Ltd. “On behalf of the Board, CSIO members and staff, I would like to thank Sean for his guidance and commitment to CSIO. We are eager to continue to digitize the insurance industry through strategic initiatives such as advancing adoption of eDelivery and commercial lines data standards, and the work of the newly formed INNOTECH Advisory Committee.”
