CSIO’s INNOTECH API Security Working Group Advances Security Model

|

(Toronto – November 27, 2020) CSIO’s INNOTECH API Security Working Group made great progress on advancing a central security model at its recent working session held on November 26. Representatives from six insurers and the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) participated in the virtual session.

Formed in September 2020 as part of the CSIO Board of Directors’ approval to move forward with three proposed solutions, the INNOTECH API Security Working Group’s mandate is to create a central security model that can be adopted throughout the industry.

During the session, the Working Group reviewed technical standards to be leveraged within the security model framework. After being presented with a set of guidelines to include in an industry security standard, based on information gathered by the participants, the group identified key components and requirements to consider when defining the options for a central security solution.

“I’m excited to collaborate with the working group to solution a centralized security model that can be adopted throughout our industry,” said Dennis Wong, Solutions Architect, at Travelers Canada. “Building on the success of this session, I’m looking forward to working with my industry partners on bringing forward a central security model that will have immediate benefits for stakeholders and most importantly, the end consumer.”
