CSIO’s 2015 Annual Meeting and Reception Looks to Industry’s Future

|

(Toronto – April 24, 2015) The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is pleased to announce its 2015 Annual Meeting and Reception, to be held at the National Club in Toronto on May 14.

“This event is a wonderful networking opportunity for our broker, vendor and insurer members,” says Catherine Smola, President and CEO of CSIO. “With the rapid pace at which technology develops today, it’s important to bring the industry together, take stock of where we are, and discuss opportunities that are on the horizon.”

To highlight the importance of technology, guest speaker Douglas Porter, Chief Economist and Managing Director of BMO Financial Group, will deliver his keynote address Technology, Innovation and the Canadian Economy. With over 25 years of experience analyzing global economies and financial markets, Douglas has been named by Bloomberg as Canada’s top financial forecaster and is a highly sought-after presenter. His address will provide indispensable knowledge and insight into our evolving technological and economic landscape.

Broker attendees will receive RIBO accreditation for one Management hour.

“The industry cooperation and collaboration fostered at events like this supports the delivery of leading-edge technology standards and solutions such as eDocs,” adds Smola. “We look forward to furthering our partnerships in 2015 to support the broker channel in improving efficiency, reducing costs and strengthening its competitive position.”
