Brian Warkentin, Director, Solution Architecture and Technology at CSIO. Brian analyzes technology environments and enterprise specifics to ensure leading technology solutions are enabled for CSIO and members.  He engages members on technology strategies including tactical implementation of standards-based solutions and developing innovative digital solutions designed to enhance the consumer’s ease of doing business in the P&C insurance industry.

Brian has over 20 years in the technology and insurance space and a longtime advocate of CSIO standards and initiatives.  Some of Brian’s notable achievements include:

• Successful build of the first Canadian industry services accelerator for broker/carrier real-time integrations by leading a team of 4 insurance insurers, 3 Broker systems, 2 insurance associations (CSIO, IBAC), and the Guidewire product group in Ireland
• Building Digital technology platform and integration strategies supporting financial services and migrations to Cloud and SaaS platforms
• Leading API strategies for P&C initiatives
• Successfully lead multiple Cloud migration initiatives
• Planning and execution of multiple strategic outsourcing models
• Technical accountability for establishing Canada’s first manufacturer based credit card processing centre (GM-Visa) and POS solution

Brian holds his Bachelor of Science Degree from Brock University, Systems Engineer Designation, and is an Agile Scrum Master.
