What is My Proof of Insurance eDelivery?

A simple, easy to use solution for CSIO members to deliver digital policy documents, including eSlips, to consumers’ mobile devices. Customers receive a secure email with their policy document attachments and a link to download the eSlip to their digital wallet on their mobile phone.

How was My Proof of Insurance eDelivery developed?

A project team made up of carriers and broker members worked in collaboration to develop the solution on behalf of the P&C broker distribution channel.

How do I stay informed?

Members may sign up to receive CSIO emails by creating an account on CSIO.com.

Is My Proof of Insurance eDelivery cloud-based and secure?

Yes, My Proof of Insurance eDelivery is located in the Microsoft Azure cloud located on Canadian servers, following industry best practices for securing customer information.

How do I sign up?

Designate one (1) representative from your organization to act as the Organization Administrator. Organization Administrator should complete the request form to request access to My Proof of Insurance eDelivery.

How long does the sign-up process take?

It will take 1 business day to process your request.

How do I receive my account information?

The Organization Administrator will receive a confirmation email with secure User login credentials (Username, Password) and login URL. Organization Administrator can create additional accounts for users at their organization.

I no longer need my account; how do I cancel?

To cancel your account, please email edelivery@csio.com.

How much does it cost?

The solution is available to CSIO members at no additional cost.

What types of documents can My Proof of Insurance eDelivery send to consumers?

The solution enables members to send any policy document (typically in PDF format) for both personal and commercial lines, up to 25 MB, as well as eSlips (in mobile digital wallet format).

How do consumers receive and store their digital policy documents?

Consumers will:

1. Receive digital policy documents via an email sent from ”My Proof of Insurance”;

2. Save PDF policy documents to the device of their choice

3. Save eSlips to their smartphone’s mobile digital wallet.

How do consumers protect their personal information when displaying digital documents to others?

Apple and Android smartphones enable users to lock their screen at any time, preventing access to personal information and blocking notifications of incoming text messages, calls and emails. For instructions on how to do this go to : https://www.myproofofinsurance.ca/.

What if a consumer lends their vehicle to another driver?

Mobile wallets enable consumers to share eSlips with other drivers.

Do I need a CSIOnet account to access the My Proof of Insurance eDelivery solution?

A CSIOnet ID will be required to set up your company on the solution.

How can CSIO members access My Proof of Insurance eDelivery?

Access will be managed via a web interface. Each member has one administrator account for their organization. The administrator can create additional accounts for individual users as required.

Can administrators limit employee access to certain functions, and view employee activity?

Yes. Administrators may limit and view employee activity as required.

Can My Proof of Insurance eDelivery integrate with broker systems?

Yes. An application programming interface (API) is available to software vendors, enabling members to send policy documents through My Proof of Insurance eDelivery directly from their BMS. Contact your BMS vendors for details on integration.

Members may access the solution to send policy documents manually through the web interface without BMS integration. See the latest information here.

Can My Proof of Insurance eDelivery integrate with a carrier policy management system?

Yes. An application programming interface (API) is available to carriers, enabling members to send policy documents through My Proof of Insurance eDelivery directly from their policy management system.

What reporting capabilities does My Proof of Insurance eDelivery provide?

The solution will provide reporting and dashboard capabilities to members, indicating the status of all emails sent and whether or not consumers downloaded their eSlip(s).

An Activity Note will be sent to a broker’s BMS advising on the status of messages to their customers. This occurs even if the information is sent by the carrier. Alerts will advise the broker of any failed deliveries and the reason.

Does My Proof of Insurance eDelivery comply with privacy, e-commerce and with anti-spam legislation?

Yes.

Can brokers use My Proof of Insurance eDelivery even if their carriers do not?
