Sandy Boucher, Senior Investigator, Grant Thornton LLP

Sandy is an investigator with 32 years of experience in complex fraud, corruption, asset tracing and due diligence investigations both in North America and worldwide.  From 1983 to 1996, Sandy served with the Royal Hong Kong Police where he managed many major international criminal investigations and worked with police forces around the world.  He moved to Canada and the private sector in 1996 and has conducted investigations, traced fraudsters, corrupt officials and assets around the world.  Sandy leads the Grant Thornton investigative research and corruption practices in Canada and also plays a leadership role in our digital forensic and cyber security practice.


Barry Kuang, Manager, ADvisory Services, Grant Thornton LLP

Barry has over 18 years of experience in the field of IT and in 2000 began to specialize in network security and protection.  For the past ten years, he has been focussed on digital forensics and has provided professional consulting and digital investigation services in a wide range of situations.  His areas of specialization include computer-related investigations, electronic evidence gathering and analysis, data and network analysis, email and internet investigations, penetration testing, and eDiscovery.

Barry has a strong technical background and in addition to certifications from a number of key software providers he also writes programs in Java, Python, C++, Objective C, and Javascript and has developed custom built software tools for specific cases. Barry’s digital investigation reports and affidavits have been accepted in various courts in both Canada and USA.
